Changes made in Sketch will be sent to Flinto and links will be maintained. One of the most frequent requests we’ve received about the Flinto for Mac Sketch plugin is a way to import your Sketch file into Flinto again after making changes. This version includes great new features that we’re pretty excited about (including one that’s been asked for since our original release).Ĭhange your designs and re-import from Sketch Now that you’ve started your test, you need to tell Usertesting what device you want your users to have and how you want to record the test.Flinto for Mac version 1.3 is available now. Usertesting has two ways of capturing the interactions of a user when running a test. One of them is by using the Usertesting mobile app, which can directly record the screen of a user. This is really helpful with web-based clickable prototypes made with InVision, Marvel, Flinto Lite, etc… because they can be opened in a web view inside of Usertesting’s app. Their app is then able to record the touch interactions of a user.įlinto prototypes are not web-based, so users will need to leave the Usertesting app in order to open your Flinto prototype. What this means for you is that you won’t be able to see anything that the user is doing because the recording will pause any time they leave the Usertesting app. ![]() By selecting Webcam as the recording device, you will ensure that the tester is actually using a camera pointed at their screen, so you’ll be able to see everything they do, even if they leave the Usertesting app. So go ahead and select smartphone for the device and webcam for the recording method. Step 6: Explain how to open your prototype Nice! Now that you’ve got your shortened prototype link, make another task in Usertesting that will explain how to open the prototype. It’s a little more involved than simply typing in the URL. The URL will take a user to a screen where they can view a thumbnail of the prototype file, but to actually open it with Flinto, they will need to directly download the file to their phone first. We use Dropbox at Remind, so if you’re using a different service, you might need to modify the instructions. The link is case sensitive, so please make sure to use capital letters when you see them. Please be patient as it may take a minute or two to load.Ģ. Once the screen loads, you should see a download icon in the top right - it looks like a white arrow pointing down, on a blue background. Once it has fully downloaded, you will see an option to Open in “Flinto” This will start the download process and may take a few moments. You should now be viewing the prototype in Flinto. Nice work! Before tapping around in the prototype, proceed to the next task.Reduce the time spent on paperwork and improve the way you record, track and store data.Ĭreate online forms and apps in under 5 minutes with our affordable, drag-and-drop, no-code platform.
